Personal Project Manager

What if you could have someone organize what you needed to do and then held you accountable to get it done? Well, that’s what a personal project manager does! I remember when I used to volunteer for an organization that put on weekend personal development trainings. I spent several years being the ‘Logistics Manager’ and the ‘Event Manager’. I loved it! One time, someone said to me ‘I wish Sheila could just tell me what to do everyday!’. That was a funny moment for me because I realized that I really loved coordinating people and making sure things got done and I realized that not everyone likes to do that.

  • Are you one of those people that has lots of ideas, but lacks the focus to follow through to completion?
  • Are you overwhelmed with what you need to get done and you’re not sure where to start?
  • Are you ready to get more done and want to know some better personal project management skills?
  • Are you great at getting done the little things, but not the big things?

As a certified project manager, I have managed teams from 2 to 52. My experience managing teams both in Corporate American and organizations I have volunteered with has taught me that everyone is always doing the best that they can do and that sometimes we need some extra help. I can simply be that person you check in with once a week that helps you plan your next week and holds you accountable to get it done, all while cheering you along! I can help you coordinate a team of people if you need that. I can help you coordinate a product launch or a course launch. You name the project, I can help. Not sure of the project? I can help you figure that out to!

People often ask me “How do you always get it all done?

What You Get?

I’ll provide the framework for you to get organized and meet your goals!   If you would prefer to work with spreadsheets, we’ll use that.  If you like Asana, we’ll use that.  If you have another task tracking, project management tool, we can use that.  I’ve used most all of them including Basecamp, Jira, Asana, MS Project and more.  Project Management is more than just task tracking.  Project Management is about being able to clearly define projects and break them into manageable chunks of work and follow through to completion.  Every project goes through 5 stages according to the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).
  1. Concept and Initiation
  2. Definition and Planning
  3. Launch or Execution
  4. Performance and Control
  5. Close
Most people dive into Execution without any planning.  It’s important to know how much time you expect to spend on something, what is your budget, how will you know you are successful or even just clearly defining what the project is.  We will address each phase in as much or as little depth as required depending on the project.  Having completed many projects in my life and career, I can help you figure out what level of project management is needed for any given effort.

How It Works

1. Select How Much Support You Want

Simply identify your package and let me know which one you want.  If you’re not sure where to start, just start with ‘Get the Race Going!’.

2. Pay the Monthly Invoice

Each month, I will invoice you for the agreed upon amount.  Invoices are due upon receipt and are paid in advance for services provided throughout the month.

3. Monthly Planning

We’ll Meet Monthly for 30 minutes to an hour in a Planning Session.  This will be where we identify the projects you want to complete, prioritize the work by week and break it down into doable tasks.  I will provide the framework for you to plan and track the work.

4. Weekly Review/Planning

We’ll Meet weekly for 30 minutes to an hour to review progress against weekly goals and plan the next weeks goals.  This will be a celebration of your progress and a refinement of the next week’s work.

5. Progress

During the week, you’ll report progress and I’ll follow-up with you to make sure you are making progress.  This is where you experience progress and excitement as you move forward!
